Xfinity

Xfinity is using what they call “Advanced Security” to block/hurt your service. Follow these steps to disable

Advanced Security

  1. Open the Xfinity app.
  2. Sign in to the account.
  3. Go to the Security area.
  4. Open Advanced Security.
  5. Open its settings.
  6. Turn it off and test again.

T-Mobile

t-mobile home internet is using a software called web guard to block/hurt your service. Follow these steps to disable it

Filtering

  1. download and open t-mobile or t-life app
  2. select “more”
  3. select “profile”
  4. select “select “family controls”
  5. select “select “web guard”
  6. select “select “no filtering”

Restart

  1. Save the changes.
  2. Unplug the gateway for 30 seconds.
  3. Plug it back in.
  4. Wait for service to return and test again.

Spectrum

charter/spectrum home internet is using a software called Security Shield to block/hurt your service. Follow these steps to disable it.

Security Shield

  1. Open the My Spectrum app.
  2. Sign in.
  3. Go to Services & Equipment.
  4. Open Security Shield.
  5. Disable it.
  6. Test again.

Verizon

Verizon is using a software called home network protection to block/hurt your service. Follow these steps to disable it.

Protection Tools

  1. install and open/ login to “my verizon app”
  2. select “internet”
  3. select “home network protection”
  4. turn off protection

AT&T

At&t is using a software called Active Armor to block/hurt your service. Follow these steps to disable it.

ActiveArmor

  1. install and open/login to “at&t smart home manager”
  2. select go to settings
  3. select “account”
  4. select “remove service”
  5. (iphone): confirm you want to remove at&t active armor mobile security
  6. (android): select “at&t active armor mobile security” and select “remove”
  7. close at&t home manager and restart app

Virgin

Virgin Media users often need to disable Web Safe, then reboot the router and test again.

Web Safe

  1. Sign in to your Virgin Media account.
  2. Open My Apps.
  3. Scroll to Web Safe.
  4. Disable it.

Retest

  1. Wait a moment for the change to apply.
  2. Power-cycle the router.
  3. Reconnect and test again.
  4. Check later in case the setting turns back on.
